Over the last few weeks there's been a dark blue Trapper 400 parked up in the club's yard. Beneath it, very early in the morning, you might spot two gentlemen removing years of rust, anti-fouling and debris and bringing the boat up to scratch. There's a good chance you'll recognise one of them, Mr Edwin Page. Edwin joined the club in 2002 and was one of the first ever YOBs. He had many happy years of sailing the club's free dinghies, endless BBQs and water fights with the rest of the cadets. He was Cadet of the Year in 2006 and managed to fund his own membership with a paper-round.He's sailed with David McCune on his Squib "Inky Finger" for many years and is now the proud owner of the Trapper 400 'Merlin' with his good friend Joshua Wright.Edwin and Joshua have been coming down to the yard before work to get stuff done - it's been a real labour of love but she's almost ready to launch. If you do happen to catch them, say 'Hi', congratulate them on Merlin and then it's probably a good time to start a YOB-style water fight.Good luck guys, your free IRC certificate is ready for when you want to start racing!
