From iQFOiL to sailing boats!

What a brilliant afternoon on Friday!

We were delighted to welcome 12 young people from the iQFOiL World Championship ELEVATE programme to Weymouth Sailing Club for a few hours of getting afloat and enjoying Weymouth Bay.

With the SB20s, Wayfarer and 2000 out on the water, there were plenty of smiles, plenty of sailing and hopefully a few new sailing adventures started along the way! 

A massive THANK YOU to our Youth Class Captains Erin, Toby and Leo for hosting the group and helping make the afternoon such a success.

And, of course, none of this happens without our brilliant volunteers. Huge thanks to Ben, Lloydy and Sarah, along with Pete & Rob from the SW RYA Regional Team, for giving up their time and getting stuck in. 

This is what our club is all about — getting young people on the water, trying something new, building confidence and sharing our love of sailing.
