Working Party Tidies Hookers Dock Ready for Autumn

Just a word of thanks to the volunteers helping on Thursday 24th tidying up Hookers Dock.These were Ray Capp, Megan Pascoe, Graham May, Mike Jury, Jeremy Parkinson, Andreas Scheffler, Euan McNair, Steve Fraser, Mark Bugler, John King, Phil Ashworth. All 3 boat classes were represented and the work done was with a great spirit of cooperation. If you are reading this and feel able to help on future working parties you are very welcome and needed!That old saying "many hands..." is never truer and with a pleasant weather morning, the team cleared Hookers of yet more detritus, vegetation and abandoned stuff. It would be appreciated if this years winter residents leave it as tidy as they find it!The Hookers dock clearout is done once a year and precedes the movement of dinghies from the Main yard to Hookers.Over recent years a quiet aim has been to leave the yard one bit tidier than the preceding year and we ended the day achieving just that.
