The Club Squib - Artful Dodger

Weymouth Sailing Club owns a National Squib, Artful Dodger, which is available for membersÄô use. The boat is funded by the Club and maintained by Club Squib sailors. Artful Dodger is a competitive racing boat and has won Club trophies in recent years. Equally, the boat is suitable for more relaxing training or day-cruising outings in Weymouth Bay. Potential users are offered familiarisation training according to need, to ensure that the Club Squib can be rigged, sailed, and berthed safely and with reasonable confidence. Most competent Club helms will be able to handle a Squib with ease and it is berthed in one of the more easily accessible Squib outside berths, D5. Familiarisation training or briefing will be provided by an experienced Squib sailor and potential users will be added to a Club list of Authorised Users, allowing them to book the Artful Dodger via the online Club boat booking system.
